Sounds like a setting in your client. Check the documentation for whatever you’re using.

Hi. I have a problem with PM’s on irc. Everytime someone PM’s me I get the Pm in public as a notice: EX: [18:42] *nickname* message
Can someone help me?

Dear sir
Thanks for your reply..I want to block PMs of people who are inside
the channel because regiestered users are using abusive language to girls inside the channel.
So is it possible to block the register user from doing PMs.Sipmly we dont want any type of
PMs inside our channel

You can block users outside the channel from sending PRIVMSGs to the channel with /mode #channel +n. That setting is on by default on GeekShed.
