That is the hardest captcha I have ever seen. The random dashes tend to connect with the characters and make them undiscernible.
It took me two tries and about 4 refreshes and I was still guessing a little.

It is a little difficult, but you only need to do it to register. Something a little easier to read would be good though.

Kind of a run-off of this thread, a pervious forum I was on found that the CAPTCHA system was easily abused by bots, and that ReCAPTCHA was a better alternative, but that's just something to look into if you get any problems.

Yeah. I think you should update to use the recaptcha. ReCAPTCHA can be a lot less worry-causing. So I think you should use it.

No bot problems so far and people seem to be regging fine so ill leave the settings as they are.
