GeekShed is a free to use and family-friendly Internet Relay Chat network, capable of hosting chat rooms for a variety of purposes. To start chatting on GeekShed, you can browse our list of chat rooms. You can connect to these rooms using our unique flash chat client, simply by clicking the chat room name in the list. You can also connect using an IRC client of your choice to irc.geekshed.net port 6667.
GeekShed’s chat network is professionally managed with your safety in mind.
Full services support is available to help you create your own chat rooms and register your nicknames to avoid other people using them. You can also embed the chat rooms you create onto your own website!

Besides the default port 6667, all GeekShed servers accept standard connections on the following ports:
6660, 6661, 6662, 6663, 6664, 6665, 6666, 6668, 6669, 7029, 7070, 1494, and 1755
All servers also accept SSL connections on port 6697.
